The Astrology Foundation Incorporated of New Zealand

The AFI is a friendly non-profit society providing a stimulating environment for those with an interest in astrology. It was spontaneously conceived at 11:47am NZDT in Auckland on the 7th of November 1983 by Owen Redwood Avis, Mark Griffin and Hamish Saunders of Astrology House. On the 24th of December 1984 it was granted legal incorporation. The inaugural meeting of the AFI took place in Auckland on the 14th of August 1984 at 7:30 pm.

Objectives of the AFI
To promote and encourage the practice of Astrology.
To facilitate and conduct seminars, workshops, lectures and social occasions.
To regularly publish the AFI Journal.
To encourage and co-ordinate the efforts of members to undertake astrological research.
To maintain standards in astrological teaching.

Membership Eligibility
Applicants must be aged 16 years or over and hold an approved astrological natal chart.

Annual subscription fees are $75 effective from February each year (to be paid by April 1st). Fees are paid on a pro-rata basis for those members who join during the year.
